Clinton, who is the Democratic nominee for president, served as secretary from 2009 to 2013. Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced in July that the Department of Justice, which the FBI is part of and reports to, would not criminally charge Clinton in connection with the matter.
The FBI probe looked into whether Clinton mishandled the storage of classified material due to the use of her server.
The documents include a detailed timeline and report of the probe, which is labeled as the first document, along with notes of Clinton's testimony, which is labeled as the second document.
"We also are releasing a factual summary of the FBI’s investigation into this matter," the bureau announced in a statement. "We are making these materials available to the public in the interest of transparency and in response to numerous Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Appropriate redactions have been made for classified information or other material exempt from disclosure under FOIA."
